Home Visitation Program
The Birth & Beyond Home Visitation program provides support services and resources to pregnant women and families with children in their homes. We deliver evidence-based parenting curriculum through the Parents as Teachers and Nurturing Parenting Program models, offering families tools for positive parenting. Families are also connected to services available at the Family Resource Center and Job Center.
Each year, our trained Home Visitors conduct more than 2,000 in-person visits with families in the comfort of their own homes. These visits allow us to better understand the needs of both children and parents. During visits, we share parenting information, engage in parent/child activities, and plan for future visits. Many parents look forward to these visits as a valuable opportunity to learn and grow, recognizing the rapid changes that come with raising a family.
Our Home Visitors embrace the philosophies of the curricula they facilitate, modeling skills that help parents nurture both themselves and their children, fostering each child's development. By supporting parents through their toughest challenges, we empower them to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
Our Home Visitors also assist families in crisis by connecting them with essential resources like housing, clothing, food, transportation, respite care, furniture, mental health services, employment, school readiness, legal assistance, and immigration support. These efforts help keep children safe and with their families, avoiding involvement with the Child Protection System. Our bilingual Home Visitors serve our community’s diverse population, ensuring that families receive the care and guidance they need.
