Health Services

We are committed to prioritizing the health of our community by providing access to essential information and resources. Our offerings include access to Medical services, poison prevention, dental education and heat prevention safety plans to ensure the safety and well-being of our

One of our key initiatives is the Trusted Messenger Project, which aims to provide vital information to African American, Spanish, Dari, and Russian-speaking communities. This project has successfully bridged communication gaps and increased awareness about public health crises and emergencies, empowering these communities to make informed decisions during critical moments.  Our outreach efforts focus on critical topics, including COVID-19 vaccines, harm reduction, water conservation, and extreme heat awareness.

Among our proudest achievements is leading Sacramento County's first COVID-19 testing site, where we served up to 500 individuals daily from underserved backgrounds. This experience deepened our understanding of the complexities of public health equity and reaffirmed the importance of community-based solutions, partnerships, and culturally responsive care. It positioned FCCP as a leading public health asset and contributed to the acquisition of additional grants.

Every month, we host a free Vaccine Clinic that is open to all community members, regardless of insurance status. We are dedicated to supporting individuals facing health and social inequities by offering culturally relevant resources in multiple languages. Our ultimate goal is to continue developing and expanding programs that address the root causes of health disparities. We strive to create systems that empower underserved communities, ensuring that health equity becomes a reality for all. Through these efforts, we aim to contribute to a more just and equitable public health landscape.

Mental Health

To support mental health in the community, we're promoting Brightlife Kids and Soluna by educating families through workshops and community events. We emphasize these platforms' role in providing free, accessible mental health support for children, teens, and young adults. We're using social media to highlight the availability of one-on-one coaching, peer communities, and crisis resources in multiple languages. We’re also partnering with local schools and community organizations to connect people to these tools, offering direct assistance to those who need help accessing the platforms, and gathering feedback to continually improve our outreach strategies.
