Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I am looking for affordable programs for my children to do in the summer. What programs do you offer?
A: The CAKe program offers free activities during the summer for youth ages 7 – 13. Activities focus on recreation, arts, culture and academic support. Youth ages 14 and older can engage in leadership development as youth leaders who help with planning and running activities.
Q: How do I enroll a youth in CAKe?
A: Contact the Partnership office to speak with program staff about involving youth in the CAKe program. Youth must be between the ages of 7 and 18 and live in the Rancho Cordova community.
Q: Does CAKe offer summer job opportunities?
A: Currently the CAKe program is run by community volunteers and agency staff, but does not offer summer jobs. Volunteers can join the CAKe program by assisting in the planning of summer activities, providing training and support to youth leaders or facilitating activities.
