Robert Sanger
Executive Director
Robert Sanger came to The Partnership from Child Action Inc. where he served as their Health Insurance Coordinator for all of Sacramento County. Over the last ten years, he has dedicated his career to strengthening supportive services to overburdened families in Sacramento County. Robert feels that one of the greatest pleasures in life is to see a family succeed because they have the tools and opportunities that make it possible to overcome the challenges and barriers before them. His educational background includes a degree in Psychology from CSUS, years of training in group facilitation and multiple professional certificates. Robert loves to spend time with his wife and two children and feels a secure, loving home is the most important investment a person can make in a child's future. He has a strong commitment to community service and has successfully completed two terms of AmeriCorps National Service. Robert also volunteers his time teaching Sunday school at his church.
Kimani Kamau
Associate Director
Kimani Kamau came to the Partnership with over 10 years of progressively responsible work and experience in a wide range of nonprofit work including program management, financial oversight, volunteer management, public relations and resource development. He is the founding executive director for Focus International Kenya, a grassroots volunteer based community NGO focusing on the youth, with particular emphasis on HIV/AIDS prevention, micro-enterprise activity and capacity building. As the Manager of Volunteer Programs for Friends of the River Foundation, he coordinated on-river grassroots campaigns, using volunteers to generate public enthusiasm for protecting and restoring California Rivers, harnessing that enthusiasm to support the conservation campaigns, and translating that enthusiasm into organizational support. Kimani has spoken in numerous forums in Kenya and United States including the Rotary Club Los Altos California , Rotary Club Piedmont California, and was key note speaker at the World AIDS Day -Sacramento California celebration in 2006 in 2007 and 2008 , amongst others. Kimani is a CPA from Kenya trained through the prestiguous Strathmore University - School of Accountancy Kenya, loves river rafting and is a strong advocate of children and families issues.
Michele Nunn, MA
Director of Programs
Michele Nunn came to the Partnership with over 10 years of experience in the Human Services field. She served many years as a children's Mental Health Clinician working closely with children and their families all over the Sacramento region. This passion stems from a commitment to impacting the lives of others through service. Michele's belief that all people have the inner resources neccessary to resolve the issues that challenge them is another guiding philosophy that makes her a valuable leader in the community. She holds a high vision for the progress and development of all people as capable, no matter their immediate conditions. Michele's educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Ethnic Studies from California State University, Sacramento and a Master's Degree in Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She also has a strong commitment to understanding the ever-changing cultural climate and needs of our community.
